Challenges & Solutions

Challenge

Solution

Site located 1027km from our home office, requiring complex logistics

Coordinated delivery schedules with Addelec and mobilized tools and equipment efficiently to and from site

NRMA Holiday Park shared the same power supply and needed to remain operational during works, which were located at the main entrance

Implemented staged work zones and clear signage to ensure uninterrupted access. Maintained strong communication with stakeholders and arranged a backup generator to power the park during changeover

New mains supply required trenching through the caravan park at double the normal depth

Used a combination of machinery including a 6-ton excavator and an 8000L vacuum truck. Cables were pulled through using a 2-ton winch

Coordination with DNSP (Ergon) for power integration

Scheduled DNSP activities in advance and maintained proactive communication

Multi-party communication between our team, Addelec, and NRMA

Established centralized communication protocols and held regular check-ins to ensure alignment

Outcome

The project was delivered on time and met all technical and operational requirements. The infrastructure now supports high-speed EV charging, enhanced lighting and surveillance, and robust data connectivity. The NRMA Holiday Park remained functional throughout the build, with only a planned 4-hour shutdown. No complaints of noise were recorded, and all stakeholders were kept informed and engaged.

Client Benefit

The upgraded site offers improved safety, modern amenities, and future-ready EV infrastructure. Seamless coordination and execution ensured minimal disruption and maximum value for Addelec and the end customer, NRMA.
